Getting Started with Axion
Everything you need to set up your account, log in, and start navigating your workspace.

Welcome to Axion

Axion is your platform for monitoring, investigating, and resolving issues in your data. Whether your team tracks quality events, customer complaints, field service reports, or any other type of operational data, Axion helps you spot emerging patterns, investigate root causes, and collaborate on resolutions.

This guide walks you through setting up your account and getting oriented in your workspace.

Setting Up Your Account

When your administrator adds you to Axion, you'll receive an invitation email with a link to set up your account. Click the link and follow the prompts to create your password.

During setup, you may be asked to configure two-factor authentication (2FA) for added security. We recommend using an authenticator app (such as Google Authenticator or Authy) rather than SMS, as it's more reliable across devices.

Logging In

To log in, navigate to your organization's Axion URL in your web browser. Enter the email address and password you set up during onboarding.

If your organization has enabled single sign-on (SSO), you may log in through your company's identity provider instead.

Navigating Your Workspace

Once you're logged in, you'll land on the Command Center — the home screen of your workspace. From here, you can access all the main areas of the platform:

  • Home (Command Center): Your workspace's home screen showing key business metrics, trend charts, top drivers, and the issue pipeline.
  • Dashboards: Custom collections of charts and visualizations built by your team.
  • Issues: A Kanban-style board where you track issues as they move through your workflow. Open any issue to see its data and investigate using the AI chat.
  • Explore: The investigation flow where you dive deep into your data with filters, charts, and distributions.

If you have access to multiple workspaces, use the workspace selector in the top-left corner to switch between them. Each workspace contains its own data, dashboards, and issues.

Troubleshooting Login Issues

Forgot your password? Click the "Forgot Password" link on the login page. You'll receive a reset email — check your spam folder if it doesn't arrive within a few minutes.

2FA issues? If you're having trouble with your authenticator app, make sure the time on your device is synced correctly. If you've lost access to your authenticator, contact your administrator to reset your 2FA.

Page not loading? Try clearing your browser cache or opening Axion in an incognito/private window. Axion works best in modern browsers like Chrome, Firefox, or Edge.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I was added to a new workspace but didn't get an email.

A: This is expected in some cases. Try navigating directly to your organization's Axion URL and logging in — you should see the new workspace in your workspace selector.

Q: I set up 2FA on my phone but can't log in on my computer.

A: You'll need to complete the 2FA setup on each device where you log in. Use the same authenticator app to scan the QR code on your desktop browser.

Q: My interface looks different than what my colleague sees.

A: This is likely a role or permissions difference. Different roles have access to different features. See the Understanding Roles & Permissions article for details, or contact your administrator.
