Two Notification Channels
Axion sends notifications through two channels:
- In-app notifications: Click the bell icon in the sidebar to open the Notifications panel and see your recent notifications.
- Email notifications: Delivered to the email address associated with your Axion account.
What You’ll Be Notified About
You’ll receive notifications when:
- Someone adds you as a collaborator on an issue.
- A comment is posted on an issue you own or collaborate on.
- You’re assigned as the owner of an issue.
- Issues you’re involved with are merged.
- New records arrive that match issues you own or collaborate on.
- An alert threshold is crossed on one of your issues.
- Your weekly activity digest is ready.
Timing Expectations
Not all notifications arrive at the same speed:
- Near-real-time (approximately hourly): Comments, owner assignments, collaborator additions, and issue merges.
- Daily: Alert threshold notifications and new record arrivals.
- Weekly: Activity digest summarizing what happened across your issues.
Managing Your Preferences
You can control which types of notifications you receive. Open the Notifications panel (bell icon), then click the settings gear to toggle specific notification types on or off.
Key Point
You only receive notifications for issues where you are the owner or a collaborator. If you’re not seeing notifications for an issue you care about, make sure you’ve been added as a collaborator.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: I’m getting in-app notifications but no emails.
A: Email notifications may be configured differently for your organization. Contact your administrator to check whether email notifications are enabled for your account.
Q: I get too many notifications.
A: Use the settings gear in the Notifications panel to disable specific notification types you don’t need.
Q: Why didn’t I receive a notification for an issue I’m watching?
A: Make sure you’re listed as the owner or a collaborator on the issue. Simply viewing an issue doesn’t subscribe you to notifications.
